IAMA CLASSES

ENROLLMENT, CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICIES

We understand that schedules and circumstances can change. Whether you need to withdraw from a class, report an absence, or inquire about joining a class after it has begun, please review our policies below for information on cancellations, refunds, deferrals, and late enrollment.

DrOPPING A CLASS

Cancellation Requests

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to IAMA Theatre Company at education@iamatheatre.com. The date and time your written request is received will determine your eligibility for a refund or class credit.

FALL/SPRING CLASSES: Refund & Credit Schedule

  • 72 hours or more before the first class: Students may choose to receive a 100% refund of tuition or a class credit equal to 100% of tuition.

  • Less than 72 hours but at least 24 hours before the first class: Students may choose to receive a full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee, or a class credit equal to 100% of tuition with no cancellation fee.

  • Fewer than 24 hours before the first class: Students may choose to receive a prorated refund minus a $35 late cancellation fee, or prorated class credit to use toward a future IAMA class with no cancellation fee.

  • After the course has begun: No refunds or class credits will be issued for student-initiated withdrawals.

ACTORS SUMMER INTENSIVE: Refund & Credit Schedule

  • Nonrefundable Deposit: The deposit required to reserve a spot in the IAMA Actors Summer Intensive is nonrefundable. Deferring enrollment is the only way to transfer the deposit to a future Actors Summer Intensive. All deferrals must be requested in writing and completed within one year of the original enrollment date.

  • Enrollment Deferral: Students may defer their enrollment to the following year’s Actors Summer Intensive and transfer their full tuition payment, including the deposit, toward the future program. Deferrals are limited to one year from the original enrollment date and may not be extended or carried forward indefinitely. If a student does not attend the following year’s Actors Summer Intensive, their deposit will be forfeited. All deferral requests must be submitted in writing to education@iamatheatre.com.

Class Cancellations by IAMA

If IAMA Theatre Company cancels a class or discontinues a course, students will receive a full refund of tuition paid for the canceled course or may elect to receive a class credit for a future IAMA offering.

JOINING A CLASS

FALL/SPRING CLASSES

  • Students interested in joining a class after it has begun should contact IAMA Theatre Company at education@iamatheatre.com to inquire about availability.

  • Enrollment in a class already in progress does not automatically qualify a student for prorated tuition. Any adjustment to tuition for late enrollment is considered on a case-by-case basis, at IAMA's discretion.

  • Late enrollment is subject to instructor approval, class capacity, and the nature of the course. IAMA reserves the right to determine whether a student may join a class after the enrollment period has closed.

ACTORS SUMMER INTENSIVE

  • Enrollment in the Actors Summer Intensive closes before the program begins. Students may not join the program after the first day of instruction unless an exception is approved by IAMA Theatre Company.

  • Any exception to the enrollment deadline is subject to IAMA’s discretion, program capacity, and the student’s ability to participate fully in the program.

  • Late enrollment does not qualify a student for prorated tuition.
