Micah Schraft

MICAH SCHRAFT's plays include A DOG’S HOUSE (World Premiere at IAMA Theatre, directed by Trip Cullman, published by Dramatists Play Service) and THE PROPAGANDA PLAYS (Dixon Place).  In addition his work has been developed at Manhattan Theatre Club, Lincoln Center Lab, P73, Miranda Theatre, Rising Phoenix Rep, IAMA and the Public Theatre.  He co-wrote the feature film THE QUIET, which was developed at the Sundance Lab, premiered at Toronto Film Festival, and released by Sony Pictures Classics.  He co-wrote/composed/starred-in the movie musical SUNNY & SHARE LOVE YOU, which premiered at the Outfest film festival (Audience Award) and was released by Vanguard Cinema.   He has written movies and pilots for Universal, Sony, Disney, Paramount, Fox Searchlight, MGM, Big Beach, Overture, WB, ABC and HBO.  In television he’s written two produced movies as well as on the series,  JANE THE VIRGIN (CW), JESSICA JONES (Marvel/Netflix), THE TOMORROW PEOPLE (CW), RED WIDOW (ABC), THE SECRET CIRCLE (CW), and HUNG (HBO). He holds a BA (Phi Beta Kappa) and an MFA from Columbia University. He has taught writing at UCLA, NYU and Columbia, and has mentored at The Ghetto School, Young Storytellers, PEN Prison Program, Virginia Ave. Project, and the Outfest Lab.
